What to Expect

If you're new to Chatham or interested in visiting, we welcome you. We want to help you grow in your relationship with God through His Son, Jesus. Below you can learn what to expect on a typical Sunday morning at Chatham.

Visiting on Sunday

Sunday worship begins at 10:30 a.m. in our Worship Center. You will be welcomed by a greeter, who is available if you have any questions. Signs along the hallway to the left of the Worship Center entry will help guide you to restrooms and children's areas.

An offering box is available beside our Welcome Center kiosk in the foyer, but feel free to just walk in and join us if you are visiting. Giving is an expectation for our members, and we are glad to simply serve you as a visitor. We do invite you to fill out a visitor information card and place it in the offering box on your way out so we can get to know you.

Our service usually opens with a welcome and several worship songs intermixed with prayer, followed by teaching of God's Word, a time of Communion and a few closing songs. Lyrics are projected to help you join us in singing.

We walk forward to take Communion together. If you wish to participate but prefer to remain in your seat, feel free to raise your hand and an elder will bring the Communion elements to you.

For parents, a nursery for up to age 3 is located in our Chatham Kids' area and available throughout the service. Kids from 4 years to 2nd grade are released for Children's Church just before the sermon each week. You can walk your child(ren) to the foyer, where a children's worker will take them to class. If you have questions about where to drop off or pick up kids, feel free to ask a worker or greeter.

Finally, there's no particular dress code here. Some of our members are most comfortable worshiping in casual clothing and some in more formal dress. We simply want you to focus on Jesus in order to know and worship Him.
